American Long Crowers
Crowing at 9-mo!!
This is one of our young cocks hanging out on a nice day. It took me quite a while to record him. I kept cutting off the beginning of his crow. The crow is variable, and this is a pretty typical long one. He will crow like this, sometimes much shorter, and occassionally much longer. The longer crows are usually much quieter.
Hens sporting Mullets
These are a few of our better hens. Most of our flock is the gray coloration, but a few are red. The larger the comb, the smaller the mullet and vis versa.

About the breed
The American Long Crower is a recently developed composit breed created for the same reasons as was the Phoenix Longtail Fowl. Our birds are heavily influenced by denizli in size and character. However, this is a different breed sporting a characteristic mullet hairdo with variable combs. Crows typically last at least 10 seconds, although they vary throughout the day and from bird to bird. Like the Denizli, some hens will crow, but it is a strange sounding noise. None of our current hens crow, but we have had a few over the years.
